We have used the services of Please Yourself Travel on a number of occasions but the biggest and most complicated trips were to India in 2020 and Africa in 2022Both trips were excellently planned and organised, Africa was almost gruelling to get over the line with various disruptions and delays but our travel agents persevered and the end result was very rewarding. Alan was excellent to deal with, went out of his way to get the best available arrangements in place and was willing to be flexible to our ideas and preferences whilst keeping costs reasonably contained.We would recommend this travel agency to anyone seeking a customised trip to areas that they service.

Having used Alan & Ginny twice before, for our travel to Cuba and Mexico, we are again thrilled with our recent holiday in Turkey. Their attention to details as well as the clients needs and preferences is excellent. We have returned from our 14 week holiday in Europe and London. Our holiday was fantastic with our trip going smoothly apart from a couple of train delays which were minor in the scheme of things. Please Yourself Travel put together a 10 day private tour of Greece to better understand its history and its culture towards the end of October.The tour was so was so complete, we're not likely to rush out and look at more 'historical rocks' or ruins for awhile. We opted to have a driver This is not the first time we have worked with Please Yourself Travel which is a compliment in itself, because we now know with confidence, they will listen to what we are wishing to achieve, modify it as and if required, tailor the nature of the tour perfectly and with amazingly diligent detail, ensure everything happens as it should.In summary, we can trust them!With the tours directly organised by Please Yourself Travel for us through 4 countries, they have all worked seamlessly and as planned!Could not recommend them highly enough and now other friends have also used them after being referred tby us Please Yourself Travel.

Once again, a wonderful experience with the help of Please Yourself Travel. Over 2.5 year delay due to COVID, 4 of us have just returned from an amazing private tour 'Caucasus Discovery', a combination of a 3 country tour of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia. Each country was unique, as were our welcoming, knowledgeable, friendly guides. We also complement our drivers, so important for keeping us safe throughout the tour. We all agreed this trip was quite special, even for experienced travellers. Not only was there good food and accommodation but it was a completely new travel and learning escapade. We enjoyed many scenic sights, most with cultural significance. At times an emotional rollercoaster. Myself feeling empathy for the people of such diverse cultures in our world today. Most of our travel time was great fun shared with our guides and drivers. A travel adventure not to be missed. We booked trip to US and Cuba with Gin and Alan. They were able to find us the cheapest flights. They went well beyond any other travel agent we booked with before, to find us best deals, connection etc. They are very knowledgeable about anything to do with travel and well travelled themselves.

Most agents are not really going to look into all of the details for you. The great thing about Alan and Ginny is that they are flexible in how they book (can be a hotel or Airbnb) and some parts of the experience I will book if it makes more sense, but they can also deliver the entire thing (organise everything if necessary). Alan and Ginny provided an incredibly valuable and personalised service to my wife and I on our recent trip to Mexico. This was our first time in Mexico and their current insights, previous travelling experiences in Central America and contacts lead to the construction of an exciting and varied itinerary that delivered everything it promised. The standout for us were the tour guides in each of the selected cities who spoke excellent English and were able to take us on more personalised and flexible tours. With some general ideas of when and where our holiday could be, we were able to settle on flights and routes quickly. We used the flexibility to book some accomodation and short tours ourselves which were collated into an App that was managed by the agent. We would have preferred to have access to add our notes or bookings. We were confident these booking would be correct and had no problems and knew Alan or Ginny could be accessed quickly if needed. The style of land tour booked was fine but with early starts and quite busy schedules and this is common on many tours. We had an enjoyable time.

I have been using Alan and Ginny as my travel agents for the last 5 years or so. They are highly professional, friendly and go the extra mile for their clients. My husband and I are adventurous travellers which is something that Alan and Ginny understand and appreciate - they work closely with us to make sure we have the types of holidays we want. When we needed to cut a holiday short due to a hurricane in 2017 they worked extra hard to make sure we got on flights and got home safely - I've never used anyone else since.

We normally do our own travel planning and booking but knew we needed some advice for Cuba. After speaking to Alan I realised we had very similar views and ideas about travel so took the punt to let him do all the work. Our big 8 week trip of Jamaica, Mexico and Cuba is probably the best trip we have ever taken and I believe it's due to working with a travel agent for the first time in my life. We always liked to plan our own travel so when I heard Alan’s interview regarding Cuba I listened carefully. After contacting Alan 5 of us travelled to Cuba. Alan even arranged our flight from USA to Cuba not easily done. 8 years later Please Yourself Travel is still a large part of our travel plans, including private tours with friends. Alan has always willingly listened with enthusiasm to our travel requirements and combine them along with his bookings. In Jan 2021, we visited India for 3 weeks with 2 good friends and WOW, what a trip we had. Please Yourself Travel (PYT) using their contacts in India ,designed a specific itinerary involving private vehicles, drivers and guides in various locations, accomodation and flights. We had tried other tour companies but could never get the right combination of destinations we sought but PYT designed our personal itinerary and at a much better price ie. we got much more for less! Everything went very smoothly and what we really enjoyed were the constant checks by the local company ensuring everything was going well using mobile their SIM and free data/call allowance for this and personal use. India can be a confronting destination but at no stage did we ever feel at risk, quite the contrary it seemed like being part of a larger family. We loved India, its people and very rich culture we got very close to compared to being on a bus with others. Great trip and very well done PYT

As a solo traveler I have used PYT on several occasions for international holidays. They take time and care to understand your needs and interests and work diligently to find the right destinations, accommodation and tours to meet your needs. Constantly liaise with you in the planning process and nothing is too much trouble. This is not the kind of service I have found offered by most corporate travel agents. Their service, knowledge and professionalism to create an amazing holiday takes the time and hassle away from doing it yourself.

Alan and Ginny organised a three week trip to Mexico for us in November-December 2019. While we usually book our own travel directly it was our first time there, and we were immensely grateful for Alan's help in designing the trip in terms both of efficiency and of curating the experiences, as well as managing any language issues in booking. The high point of our trip was the 8 days we spent driving from Chiapas to the Yucutan with Damian Alvarez, a guide with 9 years experience in archeology as well as a wealth of information on local culture and communities. Alex, our guide for several outings in Merida, was also excellent: PYT's ability to find good guides is one of the key reasons we will definitely work with them again on similar trips. That said, we were also very happy with the accomodation Alan recommended to us, and impressed with his interest in learning about places friends had recommended to us. PYT were very responsive and we felt they understood our wishes: five stars.

We have been using Please Yourself Travel to help plan and book our overseas travel since 2017. As experienced independent travellers we value the ideas and support that Alan and Ginny provide when we’re planning our next adventure. And although you always hope things will go smoothly while on holiday sometimes they don’t - like the time we were in the wrong place at the wrong time for both a hurricane and an earthquake. It’s moments like that, having them just an email away to help sort things out that, that make me grateful they’re on my side. I wouldn’t travel with anyone else.

This trip was planned and paid for before Covid and then delayed for 2 years. Alan kept us updated over this period and when we finally traveled everything ran like clockwork. Our tour was handled by three different tour groups due to the number of areas we visited and none were disappointing. Alan, I know that our trip was pretty heavy with continual movement and that you spent a lot of time researching which was appreciated. You are the masters of taking The choice of using trains, especially scenic ones, as our main mode of transport was a good one as was choice of the Nordic countries, The Shetlands, Scotland, Switzerland and a few others in between a good mix. The flow from one to another worked well. Alan thankyou for introducing us to Trip Plans App. It was my security blanket. So easy to see when there was a travel change, to know that even when, for who know why, we had no WIFI I had the updated Trip Plans App to fall back on. Once again Alan and Ginny managed our trip with faultless efficiency. We have used PYT for all of our overseas and interstate travel and always felt comfortable with the arrangements. Alan & Ginny met with the 3 of us & put together a plan to incorporate everything we wanted to do & see in South America. Not an easy task. Sadly Covid meant we couldn't travel but Alan spent many hours over many months helping get refunds & vouchers. Over & above especially as he wasn't receiving anything from our trip. We started to use the services of Please Yourself Travel in December, 2019, just before COVID-19 hit the world. Alan has worked tirelessly, with good humour and patience during this time to secure credits, then later refunds, for our planned 2020 trip to Mexico and Cuba. He gave advice on negotiating claiming on travel insurance in the COVID era when I ended up in hospital during the March 2020 lockdown, which would have ended the Cuba dream trip anyway, but made more difficult by companies giving automatic credits. Nothing has been too much trouble for Alan to handle. We're looking forward to booking our NZ travel in 2022 with him.
