Onboard the Luxurious Regent Seven Seas Explorer from Darwin to Townsville

I have to admit that I like to wander around ships before sunrise on my first morning after boarding.

Most other passengers are still fast asleep, a handful of staff are quietly getting the ship ready for the day ahead, and I can get my bearings, take photos without other people in, and then find a quiet spot to watch the sunrise.

The beauty of Regent Seven Seas ships, though, is the amount of space given to their passengers. Even when at near full capacity, like on my voyage in the lead-up to Christmas, there are plenty of quiet spots to be found, even on Sea Days during waking hours! When you do come across other passengers, they’re friendly and obviously happy to be onboard such a beautiful ship.

Photos are very useful to give you an idea of the style of a ship, but they can't convey the atmosphere, the quality throughout, the flavours of the amazing cuisine, the smells (I'm sure the pool deck was made of Cedar, it smelled wonderful!), and the warm and friendly nature of the staff.

I took so many photos that it's difficult to select just 5 for this album! So, if you'd like to see any other photos, and for assistance booking your own voyage on board the Regent Seven Seas Explorer, please get in touch
