I have owned & operated Holidays Beckon, a boutique travel & cruise agency, since 2016.
Prior roles in the airline & hospitality management industry have provided me with comprehensive experience in the travel industry.
I hold a Certificate III in Travel and I am a Cruise Line International Association (CLIA) Master. I am also a CLIA Top 200 Cruise Consultant in Australia. I have also been recognised with a nomination for the most Outstanding Europe Destination Expert Award at the upcoming Travel Agent Day Australia Awards.
Being born & raised in Darwin, one of my passions & specialties is travel within the Northern Territory. Whether it be touring the Top End or the Red Centre, I would love to share my experience with you.
I have also travelled extensively through Europe, including Croatia, Italy, France, Belgium, Spain, Greece, Iceland, Turkey & the UK, as well as Asia, Canada, the US and New Zealand. My favourite European destinations include Dubrovnik, Florence, & Barcelona. Places on my bucket list include Antarctica, South America, Northern Europe, Russia & the Baltics, to name a few!
My specialties include cruising, solo travel, music cruises, group travel, special events, organised tours, custom itineraries, & LGBTI travel.

I'm a born organiser with strong research & analytical skills, and a meticulous eye for detail. I strive for accuracy and to provide information in a clear, easy to understand way.

Wow, wow, wow If you are looking for a travel agent, look no further - I highly recommend Philip.Philip was very knowledgeable about the P&O 80’s cruise, & made booking our holiday stress free. We had a couple of special requests for our booking, which Philip handled with ease. In the lead up to our cruise, various questions from our group were raised, which Philip promptly responded to.We had the opportunity to meet Philip on the ship, where we quizzed him about future cruises, to which he has promised to email additional information. By the time we arrived home from our cruise, Philip has already gathered the required info and emailed through.Look no further, have a chat with Philip

Philip was a great help organizing our family of 12 and getting us all going in the same direction when we asked him to book our 4 night cruise Sydney to Moreton Island. I have known Philip for many years however I feel this enhances my review.My last “big trip” - South America, pre-covid. It had been planned for years so all places to be included in the itinerary were set however meshing it all into place was difficult Enter Philip He said he knew little about South America, however pulled it all together to achieve a memorable / life changing journey and South America is now on his “bucket list” Dedication story, shared with Philip's permission. During his recent family holiday, we were spending New Year's Eve afternoon catching up. With great apologies, he explained that a client had left it to the absolute last minute to take up a “cruise credit” and he had to sort the booking. Issues presented however giving up was not in his equation! Over an hour later he rejoined us with “mission accomplished”This to me speaks volumes!I recommend Holidays Beckon as I sincerely feel Philip will give his all to achieve the best outcome for his clients.K.

What an awesome crew, thoroughly enjoyed the 80's cruise and so did my husband, that was his first cruise too. Philip was amazing and very helpful right from the start of enquiring about the cruise, through to the cruise itself. Philip was very quick to respond to my emails and a lovely person to talk to. I recently booked a cruise with Philip through Holidays Beckon and it was the best holiday I have had so far...I plan on booking more.Phillip was very helpful with booking my cruise and helping me choose a room that was suitable for seasickness. He also guided me through travel insurance, and even met up on board with a goodies bag and chat.Nothing is too much trouble for Phillip, I highly recommend Holidays Beckon.

Philip Clape (Holidays Beckon) arranged our 7 week trip to the UK then Europe, including the hire of a campervan in the UK and a beautiful river cruise on the Danube in Europe. All of our accommodation, other than a few we did ourselves in Europe while travelling around by train. We did our own thing around Europe with a Eurail Pass. Philip helped us with informative and useful apps and advice. Armed with this, we felt confident to tackle some freelance travel by rail.We would highly recommend Philip for all your travel needs. Our trip was such a mixture of different types of travel and he couldn’t have been more helpful and knowledgeable, and always reachable via the Pocket Travel app.An amazing experience, thank you Philip!

Philip has helped us with three cruises now, along with associated tours, flights and accommodation. Philip is always super fast to respond to queries, making life easier if things go awry. Philip also knows our preferences and sends us details of holidays that match our needs. I highly recommend using a travel agent to book cruises as they are much easier to deal with than the cruise help lines. And as Philip is the best travel agent I have used, I highly recommend you use him
