Tahiti is a Treasure!

WOW WOW WOW - Tahiti will just take your breath away!

I knew Tahiti would be fabulous just by the feedback from my clients and its reputation, but I just didn't realise how amazing it actually would be until I experienced it for myself.

Although Tahiti is known for its beautiful crystal clear water, beaches, overwater bungalows and friendly people, there is more to experience. My first day was spent exploring the Papenoo Vallley on a 4WD safari with its lush vegetation, beautiful waterfalls and breathtaking views.

Of course, Tahiti is more popularly known for its islands of Bora Bora and Moorea, but I thought I would have my first island stop at Huahine. It is known for its lush forests, quaint villages and a deep crystal clear lagoon that surrounds the two islands of Huahine. One of the island's lagoon tours is a must, which includes swimming and a picnic lunch on a motu.

A brief 50-minute flight took me to Bora Bora and straight away I could see what all the fuss was about! Perfect white sandy beaches, blue waters of different hues and the stunning giant manta rays that leisurely glide past you when you journey further out and meet their friends, the reef sharks. I experienced an over-water bungalow here, which is just the perfect way to spoil yourself in this paradise.

From one beautiful island to the next, my journey finishes on Moorea. Unfortunately, no time to spend any nights here but I had a fabulous time exploring the island and seeing a few hotels on a day trip, so I can better help recommend the right options for my clients. A short 30-minute ferry ride, and I am back on the main island of Tahiti.

Tahiti, I love you and I will be back! I am thinking of a cruise next time, to be able to explore further afield around the Tuamotus, Society and Marquesas islands.
