INDIA's Golden Triangle

I travelled to India in August 2023 and fell in love.

My expectations and reality were so different. Delhi had so much green space, and I loved seeing families playing cricket in the parks at all times of the day. In Delhi, we also visited a Sheik Mosque and to see how much good they do on a daily basis by feeding up to 8000 people of any denomination. If you are hungry, they will feed you, and it is all volunteers making big batches of Dahl and numerous poppadoms.

The history of India is so compelling and we had the best storyteller in Mr. Singh. He brought the past to life when replaying the story of past Emperors, and I loved the story of the Taj Mahal and how it is a mausoleum by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan (who reigned from 1628 to 1658), to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. To see such beauty at sunrise is something I will never forget.

Having dinner at the Red Fort in Jaipur was also a favourite moment for me. The food throughout our tour was amazing: Dahl, Butter Chicken with Naan. We even had a cooking lesson in Jaipur with a royal family member, who brought us into his home and taught us to cook. We shared the meals as he told us amazing stories of his heritage.

Shopping in the markets and Bazaars was amazing. Dehli had the best spice market I have seen and the smell from the spices was another level. We travelled by Tuk Tuk to the markets, and that is definitely an experience I won't forget.

If you have thought of India and the Golden Triangle, it is a must. Get in touch so I can help you best experience it.
