Departing from Fort Lauderdale, you have a wonderful 2 days at sea to explore everything that the ship has to offer, (or just relax).
Celebrity Equinox is a Solstice-class ship with a maximum number of guests of 3148, so still has quite an intimate feel onboard, with plenty of space to avoid the crowds if you want. Although Celebrity is not an adults-only cruise line, the facilities onboard appeal to a more mature audience (no water slides, etc), so for us, this ship was perfect as we were sailing without children.
Getting to the Caribbean from Australia isn't always easy, so cruising from the USA is the most practical, stress-free and cost-effective way to get there. Being able to visit more than one island on your cruise is also a bonus.
Our 10 night Celebrity Cruise Eastern Caribbean Itinerary included port stops in:
My favourite port day on this cruise was Nevis. After docking in Basseterre, St Kitts, you get a short 45-minute boat over to the smaller island of Nevis. Our day included a tour of the island, learning about its rich history, lunch and an afternoon relaxing on one of the stunning beaches. This was the stop that we wanted to ensure was on the itinerary since attending the theatre show Hamilton in London in 2022.
My biggest tip to anyone cruising the Caribbean is to choose the right ship for you. With so many ships sailing in the area, there is something for everyone, but you do need to make sure it's right for you. If you want to discuss the options available, get in touch now.
