It is official! Paradise definitely exists, well we believe so anyway!
We visited the beautiful Kokomo Island, a private island resort in Fiji, after a recent conference we attended in Denarau. It was just what the doctor had ordered. After a very busy start to 2024, a few days of R&R was exactly what we needed (and well timed by us over a long weekend). We flew by seaplane to Kokomo to recharge the batteries.
From the moment we arrived at the luxury Kokomo Lounge at 8am, ready for our 9am departure from their private hangar, we knew something special was awaiting us. Arriving at the island a mere 45 minutes later, the relaxation vibe had set in - Yay!!

Our Beachfront Villa had everything we could have wanted - our own private pool, beautiful tropical gardens (throughout the resort), direct access to the beach and ocean views. The space and luxury of the villas is amazing, showcasing a mix of traditional Fijian timber and stonework and contemporary designs throughout.

Our days were filled with swimming, snorkelling directly off East Beach, where the house reef was teeming with sealife, including being home to turtles and the coral restoration program, a Sip-n-Paint class one afternoon, a massage at Yaukuve Spa Sanctuary.

Food and Beverage were also high on our list of activities—fabulous dining experiences from Walker D'Plank to the Beach Shack and KokoCabana—we definitely did not go hungry or thirsty at any stage, and I am sure we had a few extra kilos on the seaplane back to Nadi, which were unavoidable!
One thing we must say is that the team at Kokomo made our experience, hands down. They are very special, from the fantastic Front of House and Food & Beverage team, to the gardeners, Spa & Marine Centre team, we never felt like anything was too much trouble at any time of day or night. We definitely feel like we left as part of the Kokomo family, sharing many, many laughs along the way. Kokomo left a mark on us - the only issue was that we didn't have long enough!!!
