On our recent trip to Italy in late November, we spent a few magical days at Borgo 69 in beautiful Tuscany. Anyone that has been to Tuscany will no doubt tell you the same - it is La Dolce Vita, and you just can't help but fall in love with the region!
We would recommend a Tuscany stay on any Italian itinerary, and what better way to explore than in a Cinque Cento Nuova (Classic Fiat 500) for a day out! So much fun, so many laughs, this is an experience not to miss out on!
We headed off around 10am, with so many options and directions to choose from as we left Borgo 69. Pienza was our first stop, a beautiful hilltop town in the Val d'Orcia region, offering amazing views over the Tuscan valleys and plenty of history and small, cobblestone streets to wander down and explore. From there we headed to a Montepulciano, to enjoy a relaxing late lunch, including some wine tastings and amazing platter at Avignonese Winery.
With the shorter winter days, our last stop for the day was Cortona, a short walk around the historic town and then time to head back to the comfort of our beautiful villa at Borgo 69, as the chilly winter night was setting in!
