A Little Piece of Paradise

A Little Piece of Paradise

So, I woke up this morning and realised I was no longer in paradise.

There was no smell of the salty ocean or fragrant flowers. No sound of the palm trees swaying in the breeze. I was now home, but I felt I had left a piece of my heart in Vomo.

And then it dawned on me that unlike my last week, I was left to fend for myself. Gone were the 3-course meals where the hardest decision was what to choose. The fresh fruits, the sumptuous treats, the mouthwatering snapper, risotto, sushi. Shall I go on? Now, not only did I have to think and decide what to eat, I had to make it too!

And What of my Mocktail addiction… Who will create these beautiful, delicious drinks for me, that punctuated my meals? The colour, the taste… sigh.

Vomo is addictive. If you do not like falling in love with a destination, then stay away.

It is the pristine beaches that you can enjoy all to yourself. Hours can be spent without seeing another guest if you choose. It is swimming in the crystal-clear waters and exploring the coral reefs by snorkel. It is the island walks that can challenge you but reward you with inspiring views, and most of all, it’s the people. Fijian hospitality can only be explained as becoming family. You are not just a passing visitor to them but someone they welcome and want to get to know. A little bit of Vomo leaves with you, and a little bit of you stays with Vomo.

So why should you add Vomo to your bucket list?

The island itself.

Stay on a beautiful, uncrowded island where you can, within a few steps from your villa, swim in the beautiful clear waters. It is the tropical smells, the sounds, and the sights.

There is an accommodation style to suit every type of traveller.

There are villas for couples, and families with young kids or teens. Then there are larger villas for big families, Multigenerational groups, or maybe you want to holiday with a group of friends. The Beach villas are within steps of the ocean, whereas the larger villas offer special inclusions such as their own pools.

The Inclusions!

I do love a holiday where you are not left with a big bill at the end. Vomo includes all your meals and non-alcoholic beverages. So, think Mocktails galore! Activities such as guided snorkel trips, kayaks, SUPs, Hobie Cat Sailing, VomoFit Activities, golf, tennis, walking trails, and kids club are all included, and for families with young kids, a nanny butler is also provided. And then there is the daily laundry service, so no bringing home piles of washing either!

The Rocks

If you are without kids, then there is an adult-only section for you! The Rocks is an adult-only Pool, Bar, and restaurant where you can enjoy exceptional views, serenity, and Fijian Hospitality.

Activity Choice.

The activities you can choose to do are bucket list items such as spending the day on your own private island with your loved one and a gourmet picnic, taking a surfing trip to CloudBreak, considered one of the top 10 surf breaks in the world, snorkelling with the Reef Sharks or visiting one of the many dive sites from coral, shark encounters to wreck dives.

And then there are the people.

Fijian Hospitality is welcoming, and you are never made to feel like you are just a room number. Be prepared for the feels!

Vomo deserves all their awards and accolades.  It is not hard to see why guests return year after year!
