I always thought of Africa being hot and dry, our first footsteps on African soil was in a cold and wet Johannesburg.
We then flew to Botswana to start our African Safari; landing at Maun, we got the weather from my imagined Africa. We took a small plane flight to our first Safari Lodge.
Over the following week or so, we were inundated with the sights and sounds of the wildlife and the incredible sunsets and landscapes.
This was Africa, and it was so much more than I imagined.
