My journey began in Tokyo, the capital city and bustling metropolis known for its vibrant culture, technological innovation, and rich traditions. A guided day tour was invaluable in exploring popular areas such as Shinjuku, Akihabara, Ginza, Asakusa and Senso-ji Temple.
A definite highlight of my trip was Mount Fuji, Japan's tallest and most iconic mountain, standing at 3,776 meters. I was fortunate to experience a clear day, which offered a perfect view of Mount Fuji, as captured in my photo.
Japan is undeniably a food lover's paradise, and I thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine. My favourite dish was Shabu Shabu, a popular Japanese hot pot known for its interactive dining experience and fresh, high-quality ingredients, including thinly sliced meats and vegetables.
The country’s breathtaking natural landscapes, from cherry blossom-filled parks to serene bamboo forests, left a lasting impression.
Exploring the historical cities of Kyoto and Nara, with their magnificent temples and meticulously preserved cultural heritage, was another highlight. Staying in a traditional Ryokan in Kyoto was a memorable experience, offering authentic accommodation with low tables for seating and futons for sleeping on the tatami floors.
Japan's seamless blend of tradition and modernity, enriched by its profound history, hospitable people, and exquisite cuisine, made my travel experience truly memorable. If you’re considering a customised travel itinerary to Japan, please feel free to reach out to me.
