We flew from Adelaide via Sydney direct into Vancouver. It was a very comfortable flight with Air Canada and immigration in Vancouver International was a breeze.
My favourite moment of the journey was enjoying breakfast with the bears on Grote Mountain. This is a hidden gem that I would have never found myself, and now that I have done it, I cannot stop telling others about it. It is a fantastic experience to get up and close to Canada's wildlife.
For anyone travelling into the Rocky Mountains, I would highly recommend the world renowned Rocky Mountaineer. If you can't afford Gold Leaf, please do not worry. We travelled in Silver Leaf and believe me, our experience was just as good (I actually preferred it).
