My name is Jade, and I’ve been bitten by the travel bug. I am a bit of a geek - a huge fan of Harry Potter (I'm a Slytherin ), Lord of the Rings, Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, Doctor Who and YA fiction. Most of my travelling has revolved around visits to theme parks, exhibitions and pop culture conventions.
My #1 love in the world of travel are theme parks, especially ones with big thrill rides. I love the magic of Disney and the thrill of Universal Studios.
I’m a lifelong Disney fan. I was born the year The Rescuers Down Under was released – a landmark animated feature from Disney (a film of firsts – first Disney sequel, first fully digital animation feature) and only a year before my favourite Princess’ debut in Beauty and the Beast. My love of Disney’s films and projects has spurred my own travel and I so far have been able to tick 4 Disney parks off my bucket list, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Anaheim, Walt Disney World in Florida, and Disneyland Paris. Nothing beats the magic and nostalgia of a Disney theme park.
For rides – my favourite parks are Universal properties. Their big thrill rollercoasters and fully immersive lands are a must-do for me on holiday. I have been to both US Universal parks – Hollywood and Orlando, as well as Singapore. I 100% recommend a trip to Universal Singapore – it’s on the smaller side but it has rides that have been decommissioned at other parks and late-night events throughout the year.
A little closer to home, my favourite Gold Coast attraction is Warner Bros. Movie World. Again because of the movie theme and the rides. The DC Rivals Hypercoaster is a thrilling ride of heights, drops, twists and turns and never fails to get my heart rate up.

Jade helped us book our first ever disney cruise for Feb 2024. She was up at early hours in the morning to ensure that we got the specific sailing that we were after as well as room style.
