Hi, I’m Kristy,
I specialise in helping families travel, particularly those with autistic children, as the sole Certified Autism Travel Professional in Australia.
While helping my clientele plan and book their exciting travel plans, I recognised the need for something to amuse and educate the younger family members and so had the idea for a colouring book with a travel theme. And so, ‘Where in Australia is Kayla’ was created! An activity book that is entertaining for kids to colour, whilst also educational so they can learn about our wonderful nation.
‘Where in Australia is Kayla’ follows Kayla the Koala on her travels throughout Australia. The publication was produced in collaboration with Kat Fox, a prominent children’s illustrator.
As a mother and travel advisor, I am well aware of the challenges associated with entertaining and occupying kids when they are travelling. The sly koala in the novel is named after my own daughter Kayla
Kids can enjoy identifying Kayla's location in Australia, as well as colouring in Kat’s beautiful drawings. All while learning about Australia’s key cities and sites.
