This special departure five day trek across the Pyrenees mountains takes us from France into Spain, following one of the Freedom Trail routes used in WW2 by those fleeing the Nazi regime.
Crossing the Pyrenees
You can expect to cover 20-25kms a day. It's a rugged landscape with often steep hillsides and indistinct paths where Mother Nature is very much in control.
The trek is for experienced horse people who are looking for a mental and physical challenge, immersed in the mountain environment on a route that is charged with history. But the trek is also about the world of the Merens horse, native to the Pyrenees, with whom you are guaranteed to develop a strong bond in the course of your adventure.
Small group of between 5 and 8 people ensures a safe and immersive experience.
