We have been travelling in Southern Africa with our children for the last 19 years - since our first child was 18 months old! Our times together on safari have been so very special and created the most precious of memories for us all.
Over the years, we have travelled extensively together through South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Lesotho and Eswatini - we are totally Africa junkies.
To make sure our holidays can last as long as possible, we absolutely love self-drive travel - often in fully equipped four-wheel drives with rooftop tents. We love the time we spend together driving through amazing landscapes, we love sitting around the campfire at night, and the challenge of looking for animals on safari.
We've also had so much fun staying in stunning luxury lodges, gorgeous boutique hotels, and guest houses and doing all sorts of tours and activities - from quad biking through the sand dunes of Swakopmund in Namibia to zip-lining through the gorges below Victoria Falls.
Meeting and being welcomed by our incredible hosts is at the heart of why we love Africa so much. We have formed many lifelong friendships from our travels, which have given us all an important sense of perspective and realisation of how important travelling responsibly is!
