Some of my earliest memories are travel related. Whether it be flying as an Unaccompanied Minor at the age of 7 or going on a school camp to the Kruger National Park a year or two later – it is safe to say that that I was well and truly bitten by the travel bug from an early age.
While still completing my university education I was already arranging and leading large groups of students overseas. Upon graduating with degrees in Business Management, Psychology and Sociology, I worked in IT Sales and Business Development for a number of years before finding the lure of travel too strong to ignore.
Starting out as a Junior Travel Consultant, I progressed quickly and soon after began work as an Account Manager with Impact Organisation – one of the leading independent B2B Conference and Incentive companies in Australia at the time.
My ability to exceed the demands and expectations of some of the most prominent companies and associations in Australia saw me promoted to Senior Account Manager. I excelled and flourished in this position – organising a number of highly regarded Pharmaceutical, Medical and Corporate events each year both in Australia and internationally.
In 2010, I played a central role in establishing the joint venture between Impact and Amaco Travel. Once completed, I assumed managerial responsibility for all the Amaco Conferences while still servicing his existing Corporate and Association clientele.
In July 2015, I purchased the Amaco business and set about increasing the scope and appeal of the conferences offered. Since then, Amaco has gone from running 1 or 2 conferences a year to running 4 or 5 conferences. The conferences are regarded by some as the leading offshore educational events for healthcare professionals.
When not travelling, I am a family man who spends as much time as possible with my wife and two daughters.

I have been fortunate to go on several Amaco conferences with Mathew. The overseas destinations, venues, meals, activities, “surprises” and education are second to none. This year, amid such challenging times for the travel industry (and Travellers) Mathew has managed several on-shore conferences/trips, and cancelled a few too but he has gone above and beyond to ensure the experience is wonderful (in the true meaning of the word) amid ever-changing travel restrictions. Travel in small groups is my preference and Mathew excels at this. Combining travel with high quality professional education for pharmacists and doctors is a great concept, which requires an added layer of organisation and Mathew is the best at this in Australia.I highly recommend Mathew and his Amaco company, as a high value, well organized, often spectacular, travel company.

Everybody involved in travel promises service . However, in my experience having travelled to many parts of the world , the service promised varies considerably. Mathew provides service beyond what could reasonably be expected. I have travelled more than five times with Amaco because of the service Mathew consistently delivers. Many difficult situations have arisen and been dealt with in a professional caring fashion . I can thoroughly recommend Mathew Lazarow & his Amaco group .
