Hi I’m Bernadette,

I’m a travel professional and live in North Lakes, Brisbane with my husband Quentin and our spoiled dog Fergus. When I’m not creating amazing travel experiences for my clients, I’m out walking, swimming, Pilates, camping, bush hiking, or enjoying a morning coffee or afternoon wine and cheese platter.  I also enjoy writing and sharing all things travel.

I started my career in travel at age 19 straight after completing my Diploma in Travel & Tourism, where I worked for Topdeck Aust/NZ and APT Tours. From there I worked in corporate travel for 15 years for iconic Australian retailer Supercheap Auto, BCF and Rebel Sport, where I organised and managed all travel within Australia & New Zealand and Internationally. This included major event travel for the Bathurst 1000 V8 Supercars and the annual conferences. Afterwards I worked for a Global Fortune 500 engineering company in corporate travel, arranging business trips for employees.

Today I work as a Personal Travel Manager, with TravelManagers as my host agency.  I’ve taken my extensive experience in corporate travel to now working exclusively with my clients on their personal holidays and creating lifetime memories.

As a Personal Travel Manager I am with you on your full journey, from sharing your travel dream wish list, providing you with personalised options and recommendations, booking your travel arrangements to suit every aspect of your journey, personalising your trip with any special requirements, providing travel insurance options from a number of providers, assisting with pre-existing medical items, providing easy travel currency solutions, and your travel safety point of contact if any unforeseen situation arises.

I speak from personal experience with unforeseen situations; my husband and I were on a 3-week white Christmas holiday to Canada when he fractured his knee on day 3 skiing at Whistler and had to be ambulanced down the mountain to hospital. Thankfully we had travel insurance that included snow ski coverage, and we were able to fly home on the long-haul flight in business class, which was a life saver being tall. Knowing that we had travel insurance really helped us still enjoy this trip with our friends for the rest of the journey, even though he spent it on crutches and two knee surgeries followed this holiday!

Now I specialise in arranging fully escorted land tours, river cruises, ocean cruises, expedition and discovery land tours and cruises. Along with researching and finding the most suitable flights, accommodation, and rental vehicle options. I’m passionate and driven to encourage everyone to explore our beautiful world, including solo travellers, senior travellers, women only travellers, young at heart active travellers, families and group travellers.
