I joined the travel industry after many years of my own travel to most of the continents and many countries while competing in sport, then coaching and finally owning a sporting goods importing company. This gave me the opportunity to visit places and have experiences many other travellers did not, as we were often hosted by locals.
I have now been fortunate enough to translate those wonderful trips into one of a kind itineraries for my clients, in conjunction with perhaps cruises, tours, or personal events and business trips. My wish is that people have at least one unexpected or memorable event during their trip.
Europe and South America are my two favourite destinations, with a particular interest in Italy and Peru. I have made multiple trips to each continent. Food and wine, along with winter sports are also a large part of my own personal itinerary planning. A small ship cruise is also a fun way to do an itinerary that is difficult overland.
Most of my clients have been referred to me over the years to plan bespoke itineraries for them, to give them a journey they will love and remember forever. Having a client mention years later about a restaurant I mentioned to them, or an off the beaten track village I planned for them with a local guide is what makes being an advisor so satisfying.
