Joining me on this 5-day escapade is my beloved daughter, Bianca. Beyond being a mere trip, this adventure served as a chance for us to reconnect, immerse ourselves in the beauty of Hoi An, and indulge in the luxurious experiences it had to offer. From riding bikes through ancient streets to exploring vibrant markets, our getaway embodied the essence of travel and the joy of mother-daughter bonding.
Rekindling the Connection
In the delightful month of June, shortly after attending the prestigious ILTM International luxury travel event in Singapore, Bianca and I set our sights on Vietnam's charming destination, Hoi An. This picturesque town is renowned for its history, serene landscapes, and exceptional tailors. As we stepped foot into this tranquil haven, we were greeted with warm weather, setting the stage for a perfect mother-daughter escape.
Embracing the Ancient Town
Opting for The Royal Hoi An, nestled in the heart of the old town, granted us the luxury of both tranquillity and convenience. With two inviting pools, the hotel offered moments of relaxation and serenity, while its central location allowed easy access to the vibrant streets of Hoi An. Our preferred mode of transportation - bikes - allowed us to meander through the narrow lanes, appreciating the well-preserved architecture adorned with vibrant lanterns.
A Shopper's Paradise
Hoi An is renowned for its skilled tailors, and Bianca and I were determined to make the most of this shopping paradise. Equipped with pictures of desired clothes, shoes, and handbags, we spent delightful hours exploring various tailoring shops. The abundance of choices made it easy for us to find the perfect designs, and we couldn't resist getting a few custom-made outfits each. The anticipation of the final fitting heightened the excitement of our shopping spree.
Indulging in Culinary Delights
In between our shopping and explorations, Bianca and I treated our taste buds to the delights of Ellie's Cafe Hoi An and Morning Glory Signature. The White Rose Dumplings at Morning Glory Signature left an indelible impression, leaving us with fond memories of Vietnamese cuisine.
Reconnecting and Growing Closer 
Beyond shopping and exploration, this journey held a more profound purpose - to reconnect on a deeper level. With Bianca having moved out earlier in the year, this trip presented the perfect opportunity for us to share quality time. As we immersed ourselves in the serene and captivating atmosphere of Hoi An, we strengthened our bond and created cherished memories that will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Hoi An, with its timeless allure and artistic treasures, became the backdrop for a heart-warming tale of a mother and daughter reconnecting and growing closer.
